The Bremer County Auditor’s officeis accepting applications to fill a full time Payroll and Benefits Administration position. Position duties include but not limited to: Accurate and effective processing of bi-weekly payroll, including disbursement of all withholding transactions, tax deposits, benefit checks and timely generation and balancing of all quarterly and yearly payroll related reports as required by law. Position will also maintain payroll and personnel files and provide and assist employees with preparation of benefit application forms when necessary as well as aid in the duties and responsibilities of the Bremer County Auditor including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Election administration, Office administration, Reception and more. Required skills include but are not limited to: full knowledge of payroll law, reports and processes as well as personnel and confidentiality rules. Further requirements include but not limited to: outstanding mathematics ability, organization, customer service, communication, judgment, reasoning, ability to learn, prioritize, problem solve, maintain confidentiality when required and ability to work in a highly detail oriented position while remaining on task in a busy team environment. The position may also require some weekend and evening hours during elections. Educational requirements include a degree from an accredited school, college or university and 4+ years of experience in Administration of Payroll. BUILDING, ZONING AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Bremer County Building & Zoning Department is seeking application for the position of Administrative Assistant. Applicants for this position must have a high school diploma or GED completion and a minimum 2 years relevant experience including secretarial and computer skills experience, general accounting and the ability to process mathematical computations accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to independently organize and schedule assigned work to meet established deadlines in an environment where interruptions may occur frequently as we respond to daily public and contractor questions.
The position requires administrative and secretarial support for the department. Records and tracks all billing and accounts receivable. Assist the department director in preparation and administration of the department budget, scheduling meetings, assures all public notices are published, and also prepares various annual and departmental reports and analyses.
The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
